Right to health Care

Chile is one of the six countries in the OECD that don't have universal health care. This means that the state and govermments doesn't take care of treatments and health cost, so your solution as a patient and as a human being is pay for a private health insurance. Of course that exist public health insurance but this are not always what you need. 

For most people in Chile is not easy come to have a private healt insurance. This because it's very expensive so they turn to the public health which is always collapsed. Public hospitals have to take care of all this people so they are always full and with no ability to look after all the patients in the time that they require. 

So basically you need to be rich to have access to a good and decent health crae. 

Is this normal? In this country, health care is not considerate as a right so it's not a service that the state provides. But for me, and for a lot of other people, health care has to be a basic right.

This because it's the state who is responsible of look after the people that lives in this country and guarantee our integrity and well-being. Our constitution guarantee the physical and phsychic integrity but   Besides, an access to a public and good health crae can save a lot of lifes and reduce overall health care spending.

There is people that think that it's okey to pay for your healh care. they said that it should be an individual responsability, but i think that it's individualits this opinion because you will never know how is the reality of the people that can not pay for a better health care.

 As persons of the same country, we need to stop living in our own world, there is, outside, other realities and lifes that need different kind of atention. The state has to be responsible of all the people and it's our right to demand a better and free health care, or better solutions for the problems that exist in our public health system. We need an emphatic health system, and emphatic state and more emphaty us, the people of this country.
